I fell in love with this citrine- it's big (7 mm) and has a lovely golden color and a lot of sparkle. I decided it would make an excellent center for a sunburst done in plique-a-jour. I chose 2 colors of golden enamels that matched some of the colors in the stone, and set them off with blue in two shades.

There are almost 100 tiny individual cells of enamel in this piece! The setting for the citrine is handmade as well and the filigree framework of cells for enamel.
