"Good morning, Starshine!" for those of us who remember this! Inspired by classic "illusion" settings, this ring accents a small diamond to set it off as if it were a larger stone.

The base for the setting is heavy sheet in a rounded square shape, handcarved to create "rays" that draw attention to the stone. I carefully measured and drilled 4 holes around the circumference of the stone, then soldered wire into them to make the beads that hold the stone in. These were then shaped by hand, and the seat for the stone drilled, then the stone was set so that the beads hold it tightly in place.

Sterling silver, CZ (2.5mm).

Size 6.75 US, 2.5 mm wide band.

Private collection.

I will be happy to make this ring for you in any size, out of silver, gold, or other alloys, and use genuine stones rather than the imitation ones at your preference.
