So very Celtic! Celtic spirals and triskeles are very suited for plique-a-jour and cloisonné designs, and that was my inspiration for this piece. The greens in its border match the color of the tsavorite garnet in its center, and the matte silver sets it all off.

The centerpiece of this brooch/pendant is a domed plique-a-jour triskele made of filigree wires and set with a brilliant green tsavorite garnet. This is set in a rounded triangle of sterling, with decorative piercings. Details of the findings are below, as is a shot of the piece with light coming through the enamels.

Sterling silver, fine silver, stainless steel pin, glass enamels, tsavorite garnet.

Above you can see the details of the handmade pin and catch, and the adapter that allows it to be worn as a pendant. Both were made specifically for this piece.

Below is a picture of the brooch with back-lighting, to show off the colors of the enamel and the stone.
