A modern interpretation of a Victorian style of engagement rings, the first letters of the stones used spell out "dearest" (diamond, emerald, alexandrite, ruby, emerald, sapphire, topaz), and as such it is appropriate for a wide range of relationships. I updated it by flush-setting the stones scattered into a half-round band, in a style similar to my Confetti Ring.

This style of engagement ring would work beautifully with plain or ornate wedding bands. It could also be a design for a mother's or grandmother's ring, with the birthstones of the family taking the place of the "dearest" stones.

This particular ring is a prototype, made in silver with artificial gemstones.

Sterling silver, imitation birthstones (corundum, spinel, doublets, and CZ).

Size 8 US, 4.5 mm wide.

For sale: $135 US. Please email me for details.

I will be happy to make this ring for you in any size and out of silver, gold, or other alloys, and use genuine stones rather than the imitation ones at your preference.

At this time (June 2008), the cost for this ring in Argentium sterling silver with natural stones is roughly $280; in 18k gold with natural stones it's roughly $850. These costs are very aproximate, since they have a lot to do with the current cost of metal and the stones, and choices regarding the stones that can be modified.

I am happy to work with you and your budget to create a ring you love at a price you prefer.
