I was experimenting here with using silver filigree wire in copper sheet, for a two-tone effect in the metal, and to reduce the problems with firescale while the enamels were being fired. I am pleased with the results.

The large pierced cells are here broken up with fine silver flat wire, to reduce the amount of stress cracking likely and to give some openness as a design element. The filled cells contain two shades each of blue and green, colors I think look lovely with copper's rich color.

The earrings are finished with copper-colored niobium earwires for strength and to be allergy-resistant, along with antique blue glass beads on sterling wire.

Copper, sterling and fine silver, niobium, glass enamel, antique glass beads.
