She provided the design; since the commissioner wanted it done very small, instead of carving it in wax and casting it, as I've done with other of Ingrid's designs, I created a mask and etched it into 1.3mm silver sheet. I then pierced the holes and filed them and the edges, soldered 2 small loops on the back so it can be attached to a chain or choker, and darkened the etched places with a special compound designed to set off the detail in gold. (In order to retain all the detail in the intricate and small design, I was not able to etch deeply enough to use patination to bring out the detail.)
