The Arts and Crafts movement was very interested in using hand-crafted techniques, and in preferring traditionally less "fine" materials to make craftsmanship accessible to a wider range of people than can afford diamonds and gold. This clasp uses both these materials and this sensibility.

Hammered domes of copper are given loops for sewing on three sides, and a hook with matching loop on the fourth. Textured silver sheet was formed to flow over the turquoise cabochons, and riveted on with hand-shaped rivets.

Sterling silver, copper, turquoise.
